While I am not a writer of Google reviews, I wanted to take this time to write about the air conditioning system I had installed in my home in Stratford. Dan, Joe, and Marc make a formidable team. They worked tirelessly to install a 2-unit system, and it was done very well. What I appreciated was the fact that Marc took the time to explain how the system was being installed in the attic and both he and Joe answered several questions I had with both knowledge and respect. While there were a few slight issues, they have been resolved and the system is working just fine. In addition to the excellent service I received with the installation of the system, Paul made a call to the house to check other issues including the thermostat in the basement. This was defective and he has promised that they will replace it. I know it will be done in a timely manner. Raps has been servicing both my heating and air-conditioning systems for approximately two years. I have been very please with the company and know the good service will continue. We have been using RAPS for our plumbing needs for many years. I find them very responsive. We never have to wait long for an appointment. Raps Plumbing is an EXCEPTIONAL company and will be the only plumbing firm we will use and recommend in the future. We had a heating pipe damaged by another contractor which cause water to flow inside and outside of our house. The pipe was in a very difficult place to repair being located at the base of our front door and sitting on concrete. Dan made a flawless repair and got the furnace running and heat back into the house very quickly. We found Dan to be not only very professional and conscientious (explaining everything in laymen's terms) but extremely friendly and easily answered all of our questions. This was an emergency repair and Raps was the only plumbing company that was willing to switch schedules to get someone to our house (all the other companies simply said "we're too busy") even knowing we had no heat and water. Additionally, their employees are very prompt and we received text messages with their arrival time and pictures of the employee. When given a time of arrival, they very right on the money. We were new to Raps yet they treat us like were long time customers (which we will be). I wish all companies operated like Raps Plumbing. ~ M. Simpson
I called Raps at 9:00 AM and Dan arrived at 1:00 PM to unclog my bathroom sink drain. Work went very smoothly and professionally. I had tried for 2 hours to fix it myself without success. I just wanted you to know how pleased I am with the work done by Craig and Tom. They capped off the water heater in my furnace and set me up with an electric water heater which is quiet and clean and doesn't heat up the house in the summer. It was a difficult job which was even more tedious given the small size of the room. So, we now have plenty of hot water due to their talent and skill. They are also very patient. Water heater failed on a Wednesday morning. The crew was out on Wednesday afternoon. Explained my options for replacement or switching to on demand. Had a on-demand water heater installed on Friday. We had an unfortunate experience in my office today. Someone walked in and asked to use the bathroom. They were given permission and 25 minutes later the toilet was unusable. I called Raps at 2:35 pm and the job was done by 5:10 pm. Craig was very professional and in my mind went above and beyond to get the toilet functional. Love the diamond club service—they show up for emergencies, do annual AC/water tank maintenance and are friendly & reliable. Dan suggested I install air conditioning in my house which turned out to be a great idea. I always thought it would be too complicated since I had lived here for 40 years without it and survived. After Dan detailed the work and explained the price I decided to go for it. As promised Dan completed the work in one day. Yesterday I woke up to find water all over my kitchen counter and realized my kitchen faucet had decided to give up the ghost. I was in dire need of a plumber, so I gave RAPS Plumbing a call. Mark was the serviceman sent to do the repair, and he did a wonderful job. Not only did he install a beautiful new faucet, but during the process, he protected my floors by using a drop cloth and shoe covers. There was no need for any additional follow-up service calls, as his service truck was well stocked with all the supplies he needed for the repair. Afterward, he tested everything to make sure all the new fixtures were in good working order, then he helped me reload the items I keep under the sink. I have been using RAPS for a number of years, and Dan is normally the one who takes care of the regular maintenance of my HVAC system and any other plumbing needs I have. We just had Mark Alterio from Raps over to help address a clog in our sink/washing machine drain line. The line was original to the house and had been told previously from another company it would need to be replaced. Mark reaffirmed this was the case and provided us with an estimate that seemed on par with the level of work that needed to be done. He was patient in explaining what needed to be done and what he would do to address the problem. Within a few days he and an assistant were back at the house and wow, what a nice job they did. Mark was thorough, ensuring the job was done right and exceeding my expectations. They were also the neatest plumbers I have ever met, not leaving a trace of any of their work behind. THANKSGIVING MORNING, wake up, play with the cats.... what's that HIGH PITCH noise.... went downstairs, it was "water detector" alarm that I had placed on cellar floor next to sump pump pit.... the sump pump had failed and water was quickly rising. I called RAP's PLUMBING and within an hour, Dennis was here putting in a new and better sump pump. Thank you to RAP's and Dennis for saving the day (and my furnace!!!). They were great. Their customer service is really good. They got the things really quickly because I'm not in the area that they serviced and my dad is. They were kind of my eyes and ears and they took a look at his situation in his house and the space he had and the ease of use and they really made some really great recommendations that we ended up following up on and then they got everything installed and everything is looking really well. There isn't additional cost. We gone out thinking that they were going to install a reverse osmosis system that I had already purchased but it was a complicated system which they recognized right away when they went out that that wouldn't be a good system for him plus it was too big to install under the sink so we ended up getting a different system that is smaller and simpler for him to maintain. This was the first time that we used them and we would definitely call them back out again. I did not feel like they were trying to upsell us. They were trying to figure out how to make the current system work if we really wanted it but it just turned out that there is a better system that would have been more applicable to his situation and they were really open to being flexible and trying to figure out a way to solve the problem so their customer service was really good in the sense of recognizing what the needs are and I don't think a lot of companies are really good at that. While I am not a writer of Google reviews, I wanted to take this time to write about the air conditioning system I had installed in my home in Stratford. Dan, Joe, and Marc make a formidable team. They worked tirelessly to install a 2-unit system, and it was done very well. What I appreciated was the fact that Marc took the time to explain how the system was being installed in the attic and both he and Joe answered several questions I had with both knowledge and respect. While there were a few slight issues, they have been resolved and the system is working just fine. In addition to the excellent service I received with the installation of the system, Paul made a call to the house to check other issues including the thermostat in the basement. This was defective and he has promised that they will replace it. I know it will be done in a timely manner. Raps has been servicing both my heating and air-conditioning systems for approximately two years. I have been very please with the company and know the good service will continue. Raps Plumbing is an EXCEPTIONAL company and will be the only plumbing firm we will use and recommend in the future. We had a heating pipe damaged by another contractor which cause water to flow inside and outside of our house. The pipe was in a very difficult place to repair being located at the base of our front door and sitting on concrete. Dan made a flawless repair and got the furnace running and heat back into the house very quickly. We found Dan to be not only very professional and conscientious (explaining everything in laymen's terms) but extremely friendly and easily answered all of our questions. This was an emergency repair and Raps was the only plumbing company that was willing to switch schedules to get someone to our house (all the other companies simply said "we're too busy") even knowing we had no heat and water. Additionally, their employees are very prompt and we received text messages with their arrival time and pictures of the employee. When given a time of arrival, they very right on the money. We were new to Raps yet they treat us like were long time customers (which we will be). I wish all companies operated like Raps Plumbing. ~ M. Simpson

We had an unfortunate experience in my office today. Someone walked in and asked to use the bathroom. They were given permission and 25 minutes later the toilet was unusable. They give an assessment and different price options (we have an old house and could sink $thousands if we wanted) and have a transparent fee sheet. Dan suggested I install air conditioning in my house which turned out to be a great idea. I always thought it would be too complicated since I had lived here for 40 years without it and survived. After Dan detailed the work and explained the price I decided to go for it. As promised Dan completed the work in one day. Yesterday I woke up to find water all over my kitchen counter and realized my kitchen faucet had decided to give up the ghost. I was in dire need of a plumber, so I gave RAPS Plumbing a call. Mark was the serviceman sent to do the repair, and he did a wonderful job. Not only did he install a beautiful new faucet, but during the process, he protected my floors by using a drop cloth and shoe covers. There was no need for any additional follow-up service calls, as his service truck was well stocked with all the supplies he needed for the repair. Afterward, he tested everything to make sure all the new fixtures were in good working order, then he helped me reload the items I keep under the sink. All in all, I was very pleased with his work, and would gladly recommend him to anyone who needed plumbing work done in their home. ~ Jennifer

We just had Mark Alterio from Raps over to help address a clog in our sink/washing machine drain line. The line was original to the house and had been told previously from another company it would need to be replaced. Mark reaffirmed this was the case and provided us with an estimate that seemed on par with the level of work that needed to be done. He was patient in explaining what needed to be done and what he would do to address the problem. Within a few days he and an assistant were back at the house and wow, what a nice job they did. Mark was thorough, ensuring the job was done right and exceeding my expectations. They were also the neatest plumbers I have ever met, not leaving a trace of any of their work behind. To top of off- they were also some of the nicest people I have met, even taking the time to talk to our children when they asked a few questions. I was fully satisfied with their work. THANKSGIVING MORNING, wake up, play with the cats.... what's that HIGH PITCH noise.... went downstairs, it was "water detector" alarm that I had placed on cellar floor next to sump pump pit.... the sump pump had failed and water was quickly rising. I called RAP's PLUMBING and within an hour, Dennis was here putting in a new and better sump pump. Thank you to RAP's and Dennis for saving the day (and my furnace!!!). They were great. Their customer service is really good. They got the things really quickly because I'm not in the area that they serviced and my dad is. They were kind of my eyes and ears and they took a look at his situation in his house and the space he had and the ease of use and they really made some really great recommendations that we ended up following up on and then they got everything installed and everything is looking really well. There isn't additional cost. We gone out thinking that they were going to install a reverse osmosis system that I had already purchased but it was a complicated system which they recognized right away when they went out that that wouldn't be a good system for him plus it was too big to install under the sink so we ended up getting a different system that is smaller and simpler for him to maintain. This was the first time that we used them and we would definitely call them back out again. I did not feel like they were trying to upsell us. They were trying to figure out how to make the current system work if we really wanted it but it just turned out that there is a better system that would have been more applicable to his situation and they were really open to being flexible and trying to figure out a way to solve the problem so their customer service was really good in the sense of recognizing what the needs are and I don't think a lot of companies are really good at that. After the original visit when he evaluated the problem, he came back twice to finish the work. He seemed to spend a lot of time to get things right. He was very nice, gave me a lot of information, showed me everything that was happening on the video, and cleaned everything up. He recommended waiting a year to see if there are any problems before doing anything else (possibly installing a liner).
